The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) received a grant   from    the World Bank   towards   the   cost of the   implementation   of Great Lakes Trade Facilitation Project (GLTFP).  COMESA intends to apply part of   the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract of a Web maintenance consultant.

The Great Lakes Trade Facilitation Project (GLTFP) is a 5-year regional project implemented by the Governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Uganda, and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

The Great Lakes Trade Facilitation Project website acts as a tool for raising awareness of and to promote the GLTFP project activities in the Great Lakes region to support its success, sustainability and visibility in the region.  It is also used as a tool for communication and collaboration between the GLTFP stakeholders for the sharing of expertise, knowledge and resources to strengthen the GLTFP activities in the region and to support and put the small-scale trader’s agenda to the fore.
