MEETING TO REVIEW GLTFP RESULTS FRAMEWORK ENDS IN LUSAKA

A meeting of experts from the  three respective project target countries of DRC, Rwanda and Uganda met in Lusaka from 26th to 29th August 2019.These included, the Project Implementation Units (PIUs) consisting of M&E Experts, the National Coordinators from the respective Ministries of Trade, the Bureau of standard’s as well as COMESA and the World Bank.The main objective of the meeting was to  plan and discuss M&E activities in the remaining period of the project including updating the status of the Project Results Framework.The meeting provided  feedback on changes to the indicators, methods and frequency of data collection as in the report attached in annex 1.

The meeting agreed on data collection Schedules and on  Changes to the Results Framework.

Among others,the meeting agreed to keep in the results framework indicators on average time for traders to cross target border crossings,Incidence of harassment of small scale traders dis aggregated by gender,Value of goods handled through core trade infrastructure,direct project beneficiaries,daily average number of traders processed through the borders (entry and exit),Incidence of bribery/solicitation of informal payments from traders,Incidence of physical and/or verbal harassment of traders,number of border officials receiving training and number of traders receiving training.
