Serge Musana

Serge is an Economist with over 15 years of experience in Policy analysis and research, university lecturer, private sector development and Trade information specialist. He has strong experience in collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of statistical /financial/economic/trade data by research.

He also has sound experience in Business Development and capacity building by providing consulting and project management services in a variety of public and private sector organizations.

He has been working with a University Organization as a lecturer of economics and the Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (a Rwandan think tank) as a research economist and policy analyst.

Prior to be appointed as Trade Information Desk Coordinator under the World Bank’s Great Lakes Trade Facilitation Project with COMESA Secretariat, Serge was a Technical Assistant in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and East African Community Affairs in Rwanda in charge of implementing the national Cross-Border Trade Strategy in Rwanda.

Serge holds a Master degree in Economics from University of Natal, South Africa and a B.Sc – Economics, from University of Rwanda.
